This plugin enables the article functionality for the website.

When activated, the plugin creates a virtual page called /articles/ where articles are displayed.

Themes inсlude widgets for displaying articles both on the main page and in the sidebar.

In the admin menu, the plugin creates a special "Articles" section. Articles have settings. They are located under "Articles" - "Settings."

The following types of settings exist:

Page Text
The text that will be displayed on the front page of the articles page at the very top. If you omit the text, it will not be displayed.

Number per Page
The number of articles to display per page. If there are more articles, the rest will be hidden behind the navigation.

RSS Feed
Whether to enable the RSS feed for articles. If enabled, the feed will be available at /articles/feed/.

RSS Number
The number of articles that will be displayed in the RSS feed if the RSS feed is enabled.

Adding/Editing an Article

Articles can be added and edited from the admin panel. The following information is required:

Permalink
Field for entering the permalink's tail.

Publication Date
The article's publication date. If the date is later than the current date, the publication will take place in the future, and the article will remain scheduled.

Title
The title of the article.

Content
The article's content, which will be displayed on the article page when it is viewed.

Summary
A summary of the article, which will be displayed in widgets. If the field is empty, an excerpt from the content will be displayed, but without formatting.

Image
Preview image for the article. Displayed only in widgets.

Category
The article's category. In other words, the section.

Tags
Tags. Keywords. Separate entries with commas.

Status
Article status. Published or pending moderation.

Articles are listed by date written, but the date is not displayed anywhere on the website.

Articles are automatically added to sitemaps for selection.
