This plugin enables commenting functionality for the website.

In the admin menu, the plugin creates a special "Comments" section. Comments have settings. They are located in "Comments" - "Settings"

General Settings:

Number per page
The number of comments that will be displayed on the page. If there are more comments, the rest will be hidden behind the navigation.

Number of levels
The number of comment levels. The main comment is level one. A reply to the main comment is level two. And so on.

Adding method
"Forbidden adding" - completely prohibits adding comments from the front end. Email confirmation - after a user writes a comment, they will receive a confirmation link via email. If they click the link, the comment will be published.
Admin moderation - comments are added for moderation. The administrator decides whether to publish the comment after reviewing it.
No moderation - comments are added immediately, without moderation or confirmation.
Email confirmation + admin moderation.

Who can add
Who can add comments from the front end? All users, only guests (unauthorized), or only users (authorized).

Show comments pending moderation
If this setting is set to "Yes," the comment author will be able to see their comments. They will be displayed with a note indicating they are pending moderation. Until they pass moderation, other users will not be able to see these comments.

Enable deleting comments
This feature allows comment authors to dеlete their comments. After successfully adding a comment, the author will receive a deletion link in an email. If they click it, the comment will be deleted.

Enable "Website" field
This setting controls the website field. If this setting is enabled, the author can specify their website when adding a comment.

Maximum links in text
The maximum number of links in the comment text. If there are more links, a warning will be displayed when attempting to add a comment, and the comment will not be added.

Stop words (comma-separated)
Stop words, separated by commas. If any of these words are found in the text when attempting to publish, a warning will be displayed.

Prohibited email domains (start a new line)
On a new line, enter the email domains that are prohibited from being added in this field, one by one. For example, mail.ru. Therefore, if you try to create a comment with an email from this domain, the comment will not be added and the user will see a warning.

Email blacklist (start a new line)
Banned email addresses start a new line, one below the other. These email addresses will be blocked from creating comments.

Banned IP addresses (start a new line)
Banned IP addresses start a new line, one below the other. These IP addresses will be blocked from creating comments.

Sections:

In the Sections tab, in the settings, you can mark the sections in which comments will be allowed.

Adding/Editing a Comment

Comments can be added and edited from the admin panel. The following information is entered:

Date
The date the comment was added.

Element ID
The ID of the element to which the comment is linked (news or article).

User ID
The ID of the user who added the comment. If the comment was added by a guest (an unauthorized user), then 0 is entered.

Name
The name displayed next to the comment on the website.

User Email
The user's email address, which is not displayed on the website. Informational emails from the system are sent to this email address.

Site URL
The URL of the user's website. Displayed as a link in the username. The URL contains the parameters nofollow, noreferrer, noopener.

User IP
The IP address of the user who left the comment.

User Session
The unique session of the user who left the comment.

Text
Comment text.

Language
The language version of the site from which the comment was left. This setting is hidden if the site is not multilingual.

Status
Published - the comment has been confirmed and is displayed on the site.
Under moderation - the comment is being moderated and awaiting administrator approval.
Awaiting confirmation - the comment is awaiting email confirmation.

Email Templates

In the "Email Settings" section, the comment plugin adds its own templates, which can be edited, enabled, or disabled.

Administrator templates: new comment added, new comment pending moderation.

User templates: comment confirmation.
