Setting up a website isn't as simple and quick as installing an exchange sсript on your hosting.
While installation takes no more than 10 minutes, setup takes a fair amount of time.
To set up a website, you should have answers to the most important questions:
- website name;
- website description;
- which currencies you plan to exchange in each direction;
- how you will accept currencies and how you plan to make payments;
- how your exchange service will work for each direction (manual, automatic acceptance, automatic payout);
- your website rules;
- KYC security policy, if applicable;
- an affiliate program should be well-thought-out;
- will discounts be offered to users;
- will cashback be used.
Once you have the answers and the website is set up, you can begin setting it up.
1. Activating Necessary Plugins
The first step in setting up the site is the "Plugins".
Go there and activate all the plugins required for the site to work. Each plugin has a link with a description, so you can familiarize yourself with its features before activating.
If you activate all plugins at once or only a few, you'll have to go through each section several times, which will take even more time. Some settings may simply hide other necessary ones.
Therefore, you should only activate the plugins you need. And you should do this first.
But don't rush through configuring activated plugins; do it step by step to save time.
2. Editing your personal profile
Go to your personal profile and make the necessary settings there.
3. Site Information Pages
Go to the "Pages" section and create the necessary information pages for your site, such as "rules."
4. Site Settings
Go to the "Settings" page. Configure the necessary settings, including the site name and description. Then, follow the settings section from top to bottom, completing each settings page.
5. Email Settings
Create email templates and enable the necessary email settings. Enter the correct sender and recipient information.
6. Form Rules
Go to the "Form Rules" section and create the necessary rules for different forms, if necessary. This section is available if you have the "Form Rules" plugin enabled.
You will likely need to create a rule for: site rules, cookie policy, personal data processing, and KYC.
7. Notifications
If you need to set up notifications for your site, set them up in the "Notifications" section. This section is available only if the "Notifications" plugin is enabled.
This section contains pop-ups, warnings, and other information.
8. Set a logo
Go to "Appearance" - "Logo Settings" and set a logo and site icon.
9. Basic Theme Settings
In the "Appearance" - "Theme Settings" section, you can specify basic settings for your theme. This includes whether you want a sidebar, breadcrumbs, etc.
This feature is included with the default theme included in the distribution.
10. Contact Information
In the "Appearance" - "Contact Information" section, fill in the contact information you will use.
This feature is included with the default theme included in the distribution.
11. Create a Menu
In the "Appearance" - "Menu" section, you can create a menu if needed. It will be displayed on the website.
12. Install Website Widgets
The entire website consists of widgets. A widget is a block with specific functions. You need to connect blocks that will be displayed on the "home page," in the "sidebar," and in the "footer" of the website.
13. Plugin Settings
Each plugin in the "Plugins" section has a "Settings" link in addition to a description. This link only appears if the plugin is activated. Navigate to each active plugin using the link and adjust the settings as needed.
14. Let's move on to the second part of the setup
Once you've completed all the steps in this article, you can move on to the second part of the setup.
